Excuses.. Excuses..

Remember in high school, when you used to forge excuse letters for missed classes? Wasn't it fun making up stories that you thought your teachers believed but actually didn't?


I really think excuse-letter making should be included in the curriculum - it fosters creativity! Here are some that I found today(and I thought mine were pretty believable) :

Please eckuse John being absent on Jan. 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and also 33.

Please excuse pedro from being absent yesterday. He had (several mispellings of diarrhea crossed out) the shits.

Please excuse Ray Friday from school. He has very loose vowels.

Please excuse Jimmy for being. It was his father's fault.

Where oh where has my collar bone gone??

I was checking out my bestfriend's Friendster account and I saw these pictures.. I can see collar bone!!! And I felt so... hmmm. what's the word? hindi regretful eh.. more like envious.. my old self had visible collar bones.. I envy me.. three years ago.

It's not like I'm uber fat now. I'm just.. okay, fat.. I figured that it's because I have never been this sedentary.. ever! I've also become one of those compulsive eaters who stuff their faces whenever they're in a stressful sitch.. kinda like now.. NO WONDER I GOT FAT!

Oh well, it doesn't matter.. I'll probably shed a few pounds soon 'cos of some "stuff" that are happening this month.. or probably gain more weight..

Thinking about being fat is sooooo stressful.. I better get more popcorn.

Stick Boy and Match Girl in Love

As I was doing some "research" for my work, I chanced upon an unknown (at least to me) work of Tim Burton. I only knew about his Pin Cushion Queen... I didn't know there was an entire book of tragic poems..


This is the first one. It reminded me of my fantabulous drawings during my preschool days.. heck, ganito pa rin naman itsura ng drawings ko until now. Like I always say, even my stick people do not even look like proper stick people. Oh well..

My kingdom for some books -- a jajillion books

These past couple of months have been harrowing. My schedule left me no time nor energy to indulge in my favorite activity -- reading.
Luckily, I have "stolen" some hours (stolen = instead of sleeping) and rediscovered the joys of immersing one's self in a good "young adult" book. I have to admit, I enjoy reading children's books more than I do "old people's" books.

Last month alone, I practically inhaled these:


Okay, so I sneaked in one busines English book, so it's for work, so what? I probably read it more times than I did any other book.. except for TCWAG (the calculus with analytic geometry) and TC7 (back in the days when I was pursuing my degree - major in Comp Sci, minor in Math17-53-54).

This is eeeeeeeeet!!!!!! Stressful month from beginning to end.

Killer work load ( times 2), cookay sale, special people's birthdays, pre-x'mas bazaar, librarians' licensure exam, moving out (and hopefully moving in to another "spectacularer" place), berah berah berah... Here's hoping na tumalab yung prayers ng dad ko and Mark's pati sa librarians' exam.. I badly need another miracle.. (sana the world is as desperate for librarians as they are for teachers)
